The jamming attack is a type of DoS attack and even though many variations of DoS attacks exist, a jamming attack is very easy to perform. This attack will prevent legitimate users form using the network. This attack is performed using a device designed to transmit 802.11 signals that can overwhelm the network and prevent anyone from using it. One of the benefits of this attack is that it works on any type of wireless network.
