DNS spoofing is a technique in which an attacker alters the victim's IP address to name mappings in an effort to direct the traffic from the victim computer to an IP address of the attackers choice. The goal is to make an incorrect IP address associate with a DNS name seen from the victim perspective and trick the victim to communicate with the incorrect IP address.
